Location: The office of the Clerk and Master is located at the Justice Center
at 161 Industrial Access Circle (Room 110) just off of Highway 314.

Chancery Court is a court of equity that hears such matters as contract disputes,
real property matters, guardianships, conservatorships, workers compensation,
divorces, and adoptions. The Polk County Chancery Court also handles probate
matters.

The position of the Clerk and Master was established by the Constitution of
the State of Tennessee and may also perform some judicial functions in addition
to other duties. The Clerk can hold hearings, report findings to the Court,
and hold judicial sales. The current Clerk and Master is Kim Ingram.

Duties: The office of the Clerk and Master maintains all files and financial
records of the Chancery Court. This office files various pleadings, issues summons
and subpoenas, prepares dockets, collects court costs and receives and disburses
payments ordered by the Court. This office also processes, collects and/or sells
property with delinquent taxes.
