Industrial Economic Development Board

The Polk County Industrial Economic Development Board was originally established as a corporation in the State of Tennessee in 1981. The IEDB is committed to the economic development of Polk County. The board’s mission is to work towards that goal by attracting industry, health care, recreational, retail, and most importantly jobs to the county by working with and incentivizing organizations to locate and conduct their business in Polk County, TN. The board is comprised of nine volunteer citizen Board members representing the three districts of Polk County. The board’s members have been appointed and vetted by the County Executive and ratified by the Polk County Commissioners.

It meets the first Thursday of each month at the Polk County Courthouse in Benton. The meetings are at 6:30 pm.
